Hello everyone, I come from near Munich/Germany and would like to share my experience with you. On February 14th, 2024 I had my long-awaited operation (tummy tuck, liposuction)
I was in contact with lovely Dilek for a year because I had been thinking about going this route for a long time. Dilek was ready for every question throughout the year and always had an answer for me very quickly.
I compared many clinics in advance and all of them required an immediate decision. Nevertheless, I continued to be in contact with Dilek. She seems very understanding and patient to me, which is why I decided on Vanity. When I arrived in Turkey, dear Murat took over as my patient coordinator and was always on-site or available to me via WhatsApp. He looked after me just as understanding and relaxed as I was used to. As a result, I didn’t feel at all like a stranger.
My operation went well. Dr. operated on me. Algan. Despite all my fears, Dr. Algan felt like, on a human level, the best doctor I had the pleasure of meeting. I had a doubt before leaving for surgery has the process is very different from what we are use to in Canada, could be a little stressful/overwhelming but at last everything went well. I had a great fully bilingual patient coordinator who guide me through the process. I had multiple nurses to take care of me during the 2 days post-op that I spent at the clinic. The doctor came to do chek-up on both days. Then I returned to my hotel to rest for some days and then had my final check-up before leaving to comeback home. Transportation to and from the airport and the clinic was great, big Mercedes van that were intimate, comfortable with wifi. This week on February 5th, 2024 I was operated on for liposuction and tummy tuck by a very charming doctor. Very friendly, very competent and very committed. Unfortunately he doesn’t speak German but I could also learn Turkish. Not smoking is very important and emphasizes it from the first minute. I was in a positive mood right from the start with respect for the operation but the trust was there and that was due to the team organizing it and being available at all times. After speaking with the anesthesiologist, she recommended only having 2 of the procedures and Thank God I took her advice. The only downfall at times was the language barrier with the nurses not knowing English. Google Translate was a saviour. I met Vanity Aesthetics in March 2023. We performed Lipo and breast lift surgery. Otoplasty can be performed on anyone who is dissatisfied with the shape of the ear. Especially in pre-school children, the average age of 5 is the ideal time. Because the fact that the prominent ear is the subject of ridicule at school affects the child’s psychology very negatively.
Turkey is a country that has gained trust in the world in terms of ear surgeries. Therefore it is recognised as a safe choice for otoplasty and has the best surgeons.
Otoplasty is a very low-risk operation. Although problems such as blood collection or minor infections may occur in the postoperative period, they can be easily treated. The problems that can be seen in the medium-long term are the formation of asymmetry in the ears or the recurrence of the prominent ear appearance over time. These problems are relatively rare with detailed preoperative evaluation and appropriate surgical techniques.
The patient does not feel any pain during otoplasty. Thanks to the anaesthetic interventions applied there is no pain even for 12 hours after surgery.
This operation can also be performed at an early age if the physicians evaluate and decide together with the family.
After the operation, the ears will be in a very comfortable condition compared to before. There is no problem in mobility.
Do not lie face down for the first week after the operation. Ears should be kept clean and washed gently as recommended by the doctor.
People who have had otoplasty have said that they have experienced great relief in terms of their appearance and that they now look in the mirror more confidently. Therefore it is an operation worth having.
After otoplasty, there is no scooping of the ears again the results of the surgery are permanent. At this point, it is sufficient to follow the postoperative doctor’s recommendations.
Otoplasty in Turkey does not have any negative effect on hearing function.
Surgery can be performed from 4-5 years of age when cartilage development starts to be completed.
With otoplasty, the ear form is brought into the desired alignment and shaped. Thanks to the sutures the cartilage is supported and the shape is prevented from deteriorating. In this way, it is ensured that you have a pair of ears in harmony with your face.
